How to Make Promises with Integrity

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

It came to my attention yesterday that occassionally I used to make promises that my heart really wasn’t into. As a result, I would be late, or the promises would take much longer to accomplish. Then I realized that if my heart is God’s megaphone, why am I making promises that are inconsistent with my purpose or my heart? Mostly out of obligation, not wanting people to judge me, and responsibility. Fortunately, I generally don’t make promises that way anymore.

True integrity means that the words that come out of your mouth match the voice of your heart. Then and only then will the actions you take always be consistent with your promises.

If someone makes a promise to you and does not deliver, it’s not because they deliberately lied. It’s because they promised something not from their heart but from their sense of obligation, responsibility, not wanting to look bad, or just wanting you to be happy. If they are struggling with fulfilling on the promise, I suggest you let them off the hook and give them permission to re-promise based on what their heart says. The result will be much more fulfilling for both of you.

It would be so much simpler if we all committed to things from a place of integrity to the heart, not the culture, mind, or history. We would all trust ourselves and each other so much more. Today, come from your heart, not your head—and allow others in your life to do the same. Try it, you’ll like it.

Struggling to Accomplish Your Goals?

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

If you struggle to accomplish what you desire, it is likely the goal is wrong—because you are innately magnificent.

It’s crazy really, that we make up the goals and then use the “not accomplishing” of the very goal we made up as the reason to beat ourselves up and feel “less than.” Wow. The problem is not that you didn’t accomplish the goal. The problem is that you created a goal that is not sympatico with who you are and why you are on the planet.

For example, if you innately are a soccer player, but you chose the goal of getting a puck in a net, then it will always be a struggle for you. Get on the right playing field with the team that you love, and make a goal of having a juicy journey. You can do that one today.

If you want to have a goal, at least make the fundamental life goal one that is accomplishable today. Like what? Finding something right now that gives you joy. Anyone can complete that goal, but most people are looking for something very lofty to prove their worth.

Here’s the thing: if you were born, and the Universe thought that was a good idea, how much more validation do you need? Now pick some goals that are fun and interesting—instead of the goals that you think prove something.

Whether you accomplish your goals or not, it’s all turning out perfectly!

Enough with the Unproductive Thoughts Already!

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Don’t you think it’s amazing how much we all spend in self-analysis (and other-analysis)? As if finding out the “why” is going to somehow fix the issue. It won’t!

It is also amazing how much we worry about the future, making up scenarios that may or may not happen, and then ruin a perfectly good present moment with them. If we are on auto-pilot that badly, how seriously should be take our own thoughts? Not very.

The problem lies not with the fact that you have recurring unproductive thoughts. The problem is that you take them seriously.

If you’ve been sabotaging yourself with thoughts that won’t lead you anywhere but down, the solution is not to fix or stop the unproductive thoughts; the solution is to find new equally true thoughts as quickly as possible. Eventually, they will drown out the old ones. If habits of thought are that fickle, how seriously should you take them? After all, they are just well-practiced habits—not the truth.

It is time for you to stop fixing the pot holes on the road to “ick” and start building a new road that leads somewhere more productive. Catch yourself worrying today, and know that you are simply projecting a possible outcome that is not even true, worrying about it NOW as if it is.

What about all the other fictional outcomes that are wonderful; how come you didn’t choose to give attention to them? They are just as real, right? There’s no time like the present!

Who Do You Trust?

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Trust is such an interesting topic. Some of us make it the basis for everything—you know, figuring out who you can trust and who you cannot. Here’s the deal for me: If you can trust yourself to listen to your own internal guidance, then you’ve got it. You will even know what to do with people who don’t yet trust themselves.

Who do you trust fully? Most of the time when someone has a “trust issue,” it’s because they were in a situation where they gave their power away to someone and then got really upset when the person did not do what they wanted. They perceive that as “being burnt.”

But you see, when you trust yourself, you would never give your power away to anyone else or make your happiness contingent on another person being a certain way. We all do unconscious stuff; it’s really how we re-organize our beliefs around those subjects that matters. I think you can fully trust the Universal Laws. And you can trust that every single one of us is going to be human. How are you going to deal with that?

Don’t cut out of your life all the people you think you can’t trust. Just learn that you can trust them if you use your wisdom to create acceptable and agreeable parameters. My goodness, most of the world can’t even trust themselves to follow their heart—so your circle of friends would get pretty darn small!

Trust yourself. Boy, it would be exhausting to make trust a huge issue in your life. Try this instead: Make finding peace a huge issue. And then deal with other humans in a way that brings you peace. Be clear, share with them how you would like to be treated, do not test people. Just train them about who you are. It’s much less labor-intensive.

The Power of One? Or the Power of the Universe?

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Think about how often we go after a dream or even a to-do item as though the completion of that thing means that we are good, worthy, or just plain productive. Living that way is pretty tiring.

However, if you look at every pursuit as an act of creation that expands everyone else’s capacity to create fulfillment as well, then you are tapping into the infinite. See, if you can humbly own that what you do has the potential of making a difference, no matter how mundane, then the way you do it will change.

If you go after your dreams for your own validation or triumph, you are attracting the power of one. If you pursue your dreams knowing the effect that your expansion and creation will have on the world, then you have infinite power. By the way, it can be the same dream.

The Universe will always support the actions that are taken in the spirit of Truth. And the truth is: we are one, and we affect each other. Humbly accept your role as a contributory human being, and you will access the power of the Universe.

I did a little experiment lately with the strength of the human body, using muscle testing. When individuals thought of a goal in terms of how it would serve them and their immediate life, their muscles were very weak. When individuals thought of a goal (same or a different one) in terms of how it would impact their world and how it would create possibilities for everyone, their muscles were strong as a horse.

Infinite power happens when you humbly come from the knowing that we are all connected and that your joy and fulfillment only expands that possibility for all people.

It is all about you and your heart’s calling. And only then can it be all about us because your heart (not your head) is what connects to the infinite where we all like to play.

Are You Blooming Yet?

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Have you ever asked yourself why I do these blogs for free, everyday, for thousands of people? Why? Because, I too have an internal calling. This is a great tool for anyone to use to remind themselves that they are magnificent, unlimited, and loved. But my point is this: I can’t help myself. It’s like something bigger than me inspires me to action.

You can probably feel the same unrest inside of you. The questions, “What’s my purpose?” and “Why am I here?” They’re like a sense of urgency to shine your light. It’s for people like you that we do everything that we do.

The day will come when your internal call to blossom outweighs the fear that keeps you inside the bud. You are ready to blossom, my friend. In fact, you are in the process.

When Bad Things Happen to Good People

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Several times this week, I’ve had an email about something that has happened to someone that seems very, very unfortunate. They emailed asking how did they create this stuff? How do they get out of it? Well, I know that the answer would serve more than one person, so here goes…

You cannot create what you are not conscious of. Sometimes “bad” things happen and you can’t see how you created them. That’s because you didn’t. You only create out of conscious choice. It makes no sense that anyone would consciously create anything sub-optimal.

So how does creation of icky stuff happen, then? Well, it happens because from long, long ago, you set up a default position, an underlying vibrational infrastructure—in other words, the fundamental belief systems that you don’t really know are there until something yucky happens. Your default vibration trumps positive thinking or intentions every time. If you want to change your default position, that is what my courses are all about!

The second questions was, what to do. Well, if you are already physically in debt, in pain, or experiencing some form of being hurt, the answer is not to “positive think” it away. That is not dealing with the infrastructure; it is simply putting “icing on a mudpie.” You must first DO SOMETHING to get yourself back into a better place of peace, so you can then do the work to transform your vibrational infrastructure.

The answer starts with getting a job, going to a practitioner, or leaving the source of hurt. Make a physical change first. You will find more peace, and other inspired action steps will follow once you move some energy.

It is so important to interpret hardships effectively and take action that is inspired. That kind of action will always bring you more peace. That’s where to start when things are going awry.

Grab a Shovel!

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

I did it again yesterday for an hour or so. I forgot that “this is it, this is life, this is all there is,” and I forgot to turn on my favorite music in my office. Silly me.

For me, it’s this way: we come to the planet, we create and shine our lights in many different ways, whatever happens is the result, then we croak. It’s like someone gave us a shovel and some dirt, and our mission is to shovel the dirt over there (wherever over there is).

The question is, are you going to dance, sing out loud, and play great music while shovelling? Or are you going to begrudge shovelling?

It’s not about the shovelling, my friend. It’s about the people you shovel with, how you shovel, how much you create new ways to shovel (because it’s fun) and whether you made your shovelling experience joyful—and therefore spilled some joy onto others.

Shovelling can be serious, but please, not that serious. Play the good stuff on the radio today. Inspirational audios, some music, talk to a good friend—whatever it takes to make the shovelling fun.

Do You Bring Heaven with You?

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Instead of trying to change the world so you can be happy, just take Heaven with you where ever you go (and the world will change).

I know, I know. I’m such a little Mary Sunshine sometimes. But you know, if you find peace within yourself and then commune with your friends and family, over time, you start to infect them with peace and joy. I am sure you know at least one other person like that.

Changing the world can seem overwhelming, but becoming an example of true peace serves to infect others effortlessly, one person at a time, then groups, then everyone.

So many people just don’t know what to do with all the information coming at them about global warming, wars, politicians, and poverty. Someone once told me that over the span of your life, you (all by your little lonesome) will somehow permanently impact over 250,000 people in a tangible way. Well, hey, anyone can do the work to find out how magnificent they are! And every day you discover your magnificence, the world becomes a better place.

Be the change you want to see. What an incredible thing that Ghandi said so long ago! It is truly prophetic and powerful. At this time in our history, I think that just might work!

It is so simple: just find a little more peace and joy today than you did yesterday … and so on, and so on, and so on.

You Can’t Really Fail

Filed Under Law of Attraction | Leave a Comment

Did you have a great day yesterday? Well, maybe you did and maybe you didn’t. Does that mean you failed? Not at all.

You know, as we wake up more and more to the reason we are on the planet, new dreams and goals occur to us. These are new paradigms. Well, if you’ve never been in that paradigm before, how could you possibly know how to operate there? It isn’t until you try things out, find out what doesn’t quite work to more clearly identify what does.

You never will and you never did fail. If you think you can’t sing, you are incorrect. In reality you have simply not yet learned to match what goes in your ear to what comes out your mouth. There is never failure.

Here’s what failure really is: doing your best based on what you know, to go beyond where you are now without the experience, skill, or infrastructure to accomplish the goal as you envisioned it. When you “fail,” you can either:

1. Be in the process of creating and clarifying a new paradigm by learning something new about yourself or life.
or
2. Think that you should never have even started, attempted, or wished for more.
or
3. Judge yourself for being a dummy.

We don’t go on the journey to get it perfect; we go on the journey for the joy of creation. Most creations are made because the predecessor was less effective. Does that mean that the rotary dial phones, the Model-T, and Fortran were failures?

You are doing a great job. It is part of human nature to want to expand, create, find more joy. In that process, a lot of the time you won’t know what the heck you are doing. Trust me, I got the t-shirt on this one. But it’s ok, you are not failing. You are expanding—if you just stop judging yourself and keep looking for what’s next!

Today, enjoy the journey!
