Beyond the Veil

I just found out something very interesting. There is a term in the Celtic traditions known as the thinning of the veil, which means that Heaven is very close to Earth. There can be a thinning of the veil at certain times, during certain ceremonies and on certain dates.
Hey, I have an idea! Let’s get rid of the veil altogether! (I’m such a rebel—must be the motorcycle thing.)
As you may recall, I was on a motorcycle trip last weekend. It was awesome. One thing I noticed is that the group of people we were with did not wait for anyone else to start the party. They brought the party with them where ever they went. I thought I knew how to have fun, but they expanded my capacity for fun by a multiple of 10. Sheesh. I was Oscar the Grouch compared to these guys. I think my motorcycle friends took that veil and made star dust with it.
So I learned 3 things from this experience.
1. You can always have more fun and be more joyful.
2. Your friends are there to expand your experience of life.
3. Teachers come in many packages—and most don’t know anything about the Laws of Physics.
Veil schmeil! Bring Heaven with you where ever you go, instead of waiting for it to show up someday.
What are you going to do today to bring some brightness into a room? The options are:
1. Allow others to dim your light or
2. Ignite some flames instead.
I vote for option 2. You can do it quietly, too. Don’t worry, this isn’t an extroverts-only game.
