Counter Stains

Filed Under Clean Quick and Green |

Although granite countertops are all the rage, many people (including myself) still have the old fashioned laminate countertops, which are durable and fairly easy to keep clean. However, like all other surfaces, they are susceptible to absorbing stains from wine to offee to grease. Most people wipe over these areas and don’t know what else to do regarding the stubborn stains. Here are a few suggestions on how to get those counters stain-free!

• Try a cream cleanser on the stain. Simply apply a drop or two and massage it into the counter with a cloth. The stain should come right off (you may want to try using the scrubber side of your double-sided sponge).

• If you don’t have any cream cleanser, try some dishwashing soap, water, and baking soda. That should help eliminate any stains as well!

• You might also try using lemon and salt to remove the stain. Just squeeze lemon juice on the stain, throw table salt on top, and rub with a sponge or cloth.

These are all basic stain removal tricks and should assist your stained counters!
