NuKitchen Saves the Belle!

Filed Under Dinner with The Lunch Belle |

People always assume that because I write about food, I must cook all the time. A question I get quite often is, “What do you eat for dinner at home on the nights that you don’t go to a restaurant?”

When I respond with “Usually frozen meals,” people look at me like I’m an alien with 11 heads. Seriously though, cooking on a larger scale is much easier than whipping something up for one.

On a quest to find a diet plan that incorporates healthy, fresh, and homemade meals, a friend of mine referred me to NuKitchen, which is a meal delivery program. After researching the company, I learned that NuKitchen’s meals:

• Are not frozen and pre-packaged
• Are made with ingredients that are whole and natural, never processed
• Contain no more than 500 calories each
• Allow the option of choosing from a daily menu with the flexibility to change/cancel an order up to 24 hours in advance
• Have vegetarian, diet, and even “NuMom” meals

I’ve been eating NuKitchen’s food now for approximately two months, and have successfully lost 12 pounds without ever feeling deprived. Every morning, I open my door to find a cooler filled with that day’s delicious meals.

Some of my personal favorites include: fettuccine with mushrooms and asparagus, breakfast granola dotted with almonds and cranberries served with yogurt and fresh fruit, vegetable tamale, and mahi-mahi fish.

I am so thankful to NuKitchen for making my busy, hustle-and-bustle city life that much simpler. While I still cook for myself every now and then, I rely on NuKitchen to keep me on track with naturally healthy food that actually tastes as outstanding as it looks!
