There Is No Comparison
Filed Under Law of Attraction |
Yesterday I spent 4.59 minutes comparing myself to someone else. (Maybe you’ve done this, too?) I quickly came to the conclusion that comparing myself to anyone is a hilarious and absurd waste of energy. Here’s why:
The more energy you spend worrying about how you measure up to someone else’s standards, the more you take energy away from becoming who you were meant to be. For the most part, the reason we admire/envy another is because they are fully on purpose and lined up with their gifts… and we want that.
The only reason you would attract someone like that into your life is because you must be at least as fantastic; you just need to be reminded to find your own connection. How else would you know what to aim for? You certainly weren’t presented with that person so you could waste time wishing that you were like them. There already is a “them” and the world didn’t need another one. It needed a YOU.
You can’t hear your heart’s calling when you are in your head comparing yourself to another!
Well, now that we have that straightened out, how about intending that you gain clarity on “your way of doing things” today. If your heart quite often says to do things that don’t seem like the norm, then you are a member of the Not Belonging Club (and so am I). It’s good to “not belong,” trust me. We lead big changes on the planet—but only if you’re willing to listen to that cosmic GPS system inside of you, my friend.
How could any useful information about your purpose come from anywhere other than your own heart?
