The Missing Peace

Filed Under Law of Attraction |

Isn’t it amazing that your body will actually tell you through your symptoms that you do not have peace in your mind? It will. Do you know why it gives you a headache, neck or shoulder tension, digestive issues, or poor sleep? It’s because your body is trying to point out the thoughts/vibrations you are oozing that are out of alignment with the Truth.

And what’s the Truth? That the Universe has your back at all times.

When you worry about anything, when you put pressure on yourself, you are forgetting that you are cared for by the Universe. Your body will always tell you when you are being the Czar of Drama. Your feelings are there to remind you that the purpose of life is peace, joy, and living your dreams. If you are off purpose, you will always be reminded. Isn’t that swell?

Peace of mind does not come when your circumstances change. Peace of mind comes when you decide to have faith that the Universe has your back at all times.

A peace of advice (I’m so punny!): If you are waiting for things/people to change so that you can stop worrying… well, you’d better get dinner delivered ’cause you’re gonna be there a while, my friend. If your aim is to find peace within yourself, you are actually expanding peace on the planet. If everyone was at peace with their lives, no one would need anyone else to change in order to be happy. Get the picture?

It’s so true what you say about peace of mind!

A week ago, I had my first flat tire. Throughout the experience, I was amazed at how “okay” I was with it all. Sure, it could have been annoying, but I was grateful that I noticed it when I was parked safely on the side of the road instead of blowing out a tire while driving. I had my cell phone with me, so handling the situation was easy. I was across the street from a grocery store and coffee shop (good thing ’cause I was hungry). I had some time to wait for the guy to come change the tire (I worked at a gas station for six years in university; you’d think I’d know how to do it!), so I enjoyed a great cappuccino and a yummy sandwich. This whole thing happened after work and amazingly, I didn’t have any scheduled appointments to get to. It was right before the long Easter weekend, and I was lucky to get an appointment at my car dealership on the Saturday so I could get the tire repaired. I love that I had peace of mind throughout the experience.

It reminded me of a dream I had had about 10 years ago. In the dream, I was standing at Manly Beach in Sydney, Australia, and the end of the world was coming. And I knew it. And I was okay. The waves started crashing and the sky started getting dark, and I was calm and peaceful and observant and not worried.

I figure if I can move through the end of the world (albeit in my subconscious—so I guess it was the end of the world as I knew it) and a flat tire in this calm, peaceful way… then I trust I’m taken care of and can handle whatever presents itself. All is well!
