Defining Perfection
Filed Under Law of Attraction |
Do I want my life to go perfectly? What the heck is perfect anyway? And who decides what perfect is?
If I ever got life “right”, if I totally and completely figured it all out, what would be the point of living? Everything would be predictable! I could just sit on my butt thinking, “Wow, it’s all so perfect.” BOOORRRRINNNNG!
Maybe the way things are is already perfect! Every hardship creates the next profoundly joyful moment, dream and desire. Without new challenges, there would be no renewal of desires or manifestation of new dreams.
So if everything is perfect, what do I really want? Every day, every week, and every year I want the amount of time I spend feeling challenging, icky feelings to be smaller and smaller, and the amount of time I spend in the dream, the manifestation and the creation that comes from it, to be bigger and bigger. Hey, that’s already happening for me! How about you?
Have you ever beat yourself up because you haven’t gotten somewhere you’ve been trying to get to? The great thing is – you are the one who made up the dream, so you get to decide whether you enjoy the unfolding or wish it came faster. Why feel bad about things you haven’t changed yet… especially when the blessings around you massively outweigh the challenges?
What do you want to focus on? I prefer the thoughts that feel better. Today (or maybe forever – you choose), focus on how far you have come, instead of how far you’ve got to go.
