Healing Resistance with Sleep

“What is resistance? It is the act of not trusting that there is a General Manager of the Universe – and it’s not you. You’ll know you are resistant when you need more sleep! Notice how little kids need sleep?” J. Hough

To help you understand the importance of taking the limits off your beliefs, here are some facts about sleep and resistance:

1. It is the only time during your life that you are resistance-free, in a total space of allowing for miracles.

2. Sleep lets you recover from the energy you lost while you were awake, when you were pushing against possibility and trying to do everything effortfully.

3. The more resistant you are, the harder you try, and the more you struggle, the more sleep you are going to need.

4. Dreams are simply messages. They are awesome reminders to you of beliefs that are working for you as well as those you have to transform.

5. All dreams are good dreams because they all come from your cosmic guidance system. They are all symbolic, not literal.

6. When you are depressed, you like to sleep, to take a break from your disconnected thinking. It’s exhausting being right that something’s wrong, when every fiber of your being knows that in an instant, you could find what is right!

7. If you want to be able to sleep less, do the following: count your blessings daily, trust that everything is going perfectly, acknowledge yourself, be grateful for others (out loud), tell people you love them, imagine your dreams, collect evidence for the dreams that are on the way, and most of all… laugh a whole bunch.
